  • Citation Format: Chicago Manual of Style 16th Edition (Full Note)

Scope of Journal:

  Primary Themes

  • Aerospace and Emerging Technologies
  • Security and Defence Strategies
  • Cyber and Space Security

Secondary Themes

  • International Relations
  • Political Economy

Review Process

  • All submissions will undergo desk, similarity, and AI review (less than 19%).
  • Submissions meeting the journal’s scope and quality criteria will undergo two double-blind peer reviews, evaluating theoretical/analytical insights, robust argumentation, relevant academic citations, and well-substantiated conclusions.
  • A common issue with submissions is the lack of theoretical integration. Merely citing a theory without proper application or integration does not constitute a theoretical contribution or a sound theoretical basis. Similarly, replication or summaries of prior work without offering novel insights are insufficient. While replication studies have value, JASS prioritises innovative contributions.
  • Manuscripts should be concise, well-structured, and interconnected, employing academic writing rather than journalistic styles.
  • High-quality and innovative research must include sections such as an introduction, methodology, theoretical framework/background, findings, analysis/discussion, policy proposals, and conclusion. The conclusion should also explore broader impacts and implications of the findings.
  • Shortlisted submissions will undergo a double-blind Subject Expert Peer Review. At this stage, some manuscripts may still be declined. If deemed suitable for publication, referees may recommend major or minor revisions, with the possibility of multiple revision rounds.
